Issue

User(s) receive an email alert from E-Series SANtricity management application indicating an AutoSupport (ASUP) message could not be delivered:

Node ID: XXXXXXXXXXX
Host IP Address: xx:xx:xx:xx Host ID: eos-b 
Event occurred: Sat, 13 Mar 2021 20:11:14 +0000
Event Message: An ASUP message could not be delivered from the array management host eos-b to NetApp ASUP https gateway  https://support.netapp.com/put/AsupPut/.

Or

Event Message: An ASUP message could not be delivered from the array management host eos-b to NetApp ASUP smtp

WARNING

Effective October 3, 2023, NetApp will implement changes to reject AutoSupport message transmission that are not sent by either:

  • HTTPS with TLS 1.2 or later 
  • SMTP
