Probable Cause: Power_supply_failure
Probable Cause Description: "$(cluster_switch_power.psu-name)" on switch "$(cluster_switch_power.device)" is missing or is not operational.
Possible Effect: Power supply redundancy on switch "$(cluster_switch_power.device)" might be lost.
Corrective Actions: 1) Ensure that the power supply units supplying power to the switch are turned on.
2) Ensure that the power cord is securely connected to the power supply of the switch.
Resolution
- Verify if maintenance is ongoing or was scheduled during the AutoSupport call home time stamp.
- Verify if there is a power issue within the data center.
- Verify the power supply is receiving power from the power distribution unit (PDU)
- Verify the power supply is installed properly and not loose.
- Reseat power cable by unplugging and reconnecting
- Reseat the affected power supply if possible.
Replace the power supply if confirmed defective:
- For a Broadcom switch, contact Broadcom for assistance
- For a Cisco switch, contact Cisco for assistance
- For a NVIDIA switch, contact NVIDIA for assistance
- For a CN1610 switch, contact NetApp Technical Support for assistance
