The FabricSwitchPowerFail_Alert is sent when the fibre channel switch operational status reports as failed.

            Probable Cause: Power_supply_failure
Probable Cause Description: A power supply unit on the switch "Switch Name" is not operational.
           Possible Effect: Power supply redundancy on switch "Switch Name" is lost.    
        Corrective Actions: 1) Check the error details by using the command "storage switch show -error -switch-name                                Switch_Name".
                            2) Identify the faulty power supply unit by using the command "storage switch show -power -                               switch-name Switch_Name".
                            3) Ensure that the power supply unit "Power Supply #1" is properly inserted into the chassis of                                the switch "Switch_Name" and fully operational.
Resolution
- Verify if maintenance is ongoing or was scheduled during the AutoSupport call home time stamp.
 - Verify if there is a power issue within the data center.
 - Verify the power supply is receiving power from the power distribution unit (PDU)
 - Verify the power supply is installed properly and not loose.
    
- Reseat power cable by unplugging and reconnecting
 
 - Reseat the affected power supply if possible.
 
Replace the power supply if confirmed defective:
- For a Brocade switch, contact NetApp Technical Support.
 - For a Cisco switch, contact Cisco for assistance.
