What to do when a SolidFire/HCI storage/compute node locks up and needs to be rebooted via iDRAC / IPMI / BMC

  • NetApp SolidFire/HCI storage nodes
    • Dell-based Platforms (all "SF" models)
    • Supermicro-based (H300S, H410S, H500S, H700S)
    • Quanta-based (H610S)
  • NetApp Element software version 7.x and above


  • Node lockup  
  • Reboot required
  • Logs required for Engineering

Note: This process requires the node's iDRAC/IPMI/BMC to be configured and accessible to the customer or NetApp Support.
