Description

At times, it might be necessary to update the BIOS outside of ONTAP. This procedure can be performed at the LOADER prompt.

WARNING

Only use this procedure when necessary. Normally, service image (BIOS) updates are performed with the instructions found at the NetApp Support System Firmware download page for each specific version.
