Answer

Shelf models and storage systems with embedded storage (which are also considered shelves from a storage perspective) are uniquely identified in ONTAP by examining both the shelf product ID and the shelf module, together. A specific shelf product ID and shelf module combination can be mapped to a model of a shelf or a storage system with embedded storage.

The following is a list of shelves, as they would be reported from a storage perspective in ONTAP:
