How do I identify the difference between IOM12 and IOM12B?

Answer

  • IOM12B module will have a blue stripe on the faceplate. The IOM12 module does not have the blue stripe.

  • Review the output of the storage shelf show -module or (nodeshell) environment status shelf CLI commands:
    • IOM12 reports the following Mfg. 3x5 part number: 111-02850
    • IOM12B reports one the following Mfg. 3x5 part numbers: 111-04850 or 111-05055
  • Review the output of the system controller config show or (nodeshell) sysconfig -a CLI commands:
    • The shelf information will report the IOM model (IOM12 or IOM12B)
