Issue

  • Impacted shelf shows the following fan status in environment:

::> system node run -node <nodename> -command environment status

Cooling Units by element:
[1] 5100 RPM
[2] 4500 RPM
[3] 5070 RPM
[4] 4500 RPM
[5] Unavailable<--
[6] Unavailable<--
[7] Unavailable<--
[8] Unavailable<--
 
  • EMS log shows following messages
[Node-01: dsa_disc: ses.status.fanError:EMERGENCY]: DS460-12 (S/N XXXXXXXX) shelf X on channel 2d cooling fan error for Cooling element 8 7 6 5: critical status no redundancy. This module is on the rear of the shelf to the right.
[Node-01: dsa_disc: ses.status.fanError:EMERGENCY]: DS460-12 (S/N XXXXXXXX) shelf X on channel 2d cooling fan error for Cooling element 8 7 6 5: critical status no redundancy. This module is on the rear of the shelf to the right.
  • Storage fault shows 'NOT INSTALLED' for the Fans Element Status similar to the following:

::> system node run -node <nodename> -command storage show fault -v
