SwitchCommunityString_Alert after ONTAP upgrade or switchless conversion

  • Replacing current cluster switches with a newer model

Issue

  • SwitchCommunityString Alert was received from both nodes after an ONTAP upgrade:

cshmd: hm.alert.raised:alert]: Alert Id = SwitchCommunityString_Alert , Alerting Resource = <switch_name> raised by     monitor cluster-switch

  • Cluster switches were deleted prior to the upgrade while transitioning from a clustered switch to a switchless configuration.
