Event Summary

Persistent cache backup device has failed is reported in SANtricity System Manager.

The mSATA drive, used for flushing cache in the events of power down or sudden loss of power has failed

Note: There can also be alerts indicating the cache is disabled or suspended. This is to be expected if the cache backup device fails.

Validate

Storage Array Profile shows cache backup device is failed.
