Answer

Performing health checks is outside of the scope of technical support.

NetApp has the following options:

  1. No Cost Options
NetApp offers numerous software products at no cost which can assess both secure non-AutoSupport environments and AutoSupport reporting environments.
  • The NetApp tools Active IQ and Active IQ Unified Manager can provide you with proactive risk information, storage configuration best practices, and storage performance monitoring.
  • Config Advisor provides the capability of performing an up to the minute health check against ONTAP systems. It also has plug-ins to assess the health of E-Series, FlexPod, MetroCluster and FlexArray configurations. Config Advisor can be run locally and does not require ASUP functionality.
  • OnCommand Performance Manager (OPM) provides performance heath checks and monitoring for any ONTAP configurations that are in a clustered mode (8.2.x clustered, 8.3.x, 9.0, 9.1 and future).

  1. Paid Options

In addition to these tools, NetApp also offers personalized engagement at reasonable rates:

Against specific systems

• Storage Optimization Services
• Performance Evaluation Service

A Support Account Manager (SAM) can offer personalized and pre-emptive health checks against a customer’s entire Installed Base.
