  • Snapshots of a volume in SolidFire are collections of pointer information in the volume metadata at a specific point in time.
  • When these snapshots are deleted, the primary changes occur on the metadata (Slice) side.
  • This process completes almost instantaneously, with no significant load or other impacts on the SolidFire system.
