Does editing QoS temporarily disconnect iSCSI connections?
Applies to
NetApp Element software
Answer
- Changing Min IOPS may cause volumes to be rebalanced, which results in temporary disconnection of iSCSI connections
- If volumes are not rebalanced due to a change in Min IOPS, temporary disconnection does not occur
- Changing Max IOPS or Burst IOPS does not result in temporary disconnection
Additional Information
In general, disconnects due to volume rebalancing occur instantaneously, so users are not aware of the disconnection
