Event Summary

This message occurs when an aggregate experiences a configuration mismatch error during assimilation of an aggregates raid structure. 

  • If disks are introduced into a node and those disks came from another system and were not properly unowned and zeroed, the disks will be owned by the node they came from and will be inaccessible by the current node's ONTAP.
  • The aggregate will be marked as a foreign aggregate. 

Note: A takeover may fail in this state while processing the foreign aggregate
