Description
- This article describes the steps required for a cold-swap upgrade.
- When replacing the IOM module in a shelf with a different model it requires the following components to be powered off during the change:
- ALL nodes that connect to the impacted shelves.
- ALL ATTO bridges (if applicable) that connect to the impacted shelves.
- The shelves of which the IOM model will be changed.
- Possible upgrades:
- IOM3 to IOM6
- IOM3 to IOM12*
- IOM6 to IOM12*
*Be aware of SAS port differences between IOM3/IOM6 (QSFP) and IOM12 (MiniSAS-HD)
