Issue

  • CriticalFruNotPresentAlert reported for a FAN module in the SYSTEM-HEALTH-ALERT AutoSupport section (::> system health alert show).
  • CriticalFruNotPresentAlert messages in EMS. Example:

[Node_name: cphmd: hm.alert.raised:alert]: Alert Id = CriticalFruNotPresentAlert , Alerting Resource = Fan1#0xxxxxxxx raised by monitor chassis

  • FAN NOT_PRESENT in "::> system chassis fru show" output. Example:

Chassis ID          FRU        Type     State       Nodes Sharing the FRU

  • FAN or sensor reading are not visible in the following AutoSupport section:
    • SP_Latest_IPMI
    • Platform Sensor
    • Environment
    • Sysconfig _m
    • SP-LATEST-SYSLOG
  • Dropped packets seen on the receiving section of the Service Processor (SP) network interface
