Fan error is not resolved even if the power supply is replaced

Issue

  • When a shelf fault occurs, AutoSupport shows 0 as a rotation speed in the shelf 0 cooling unit 4 on both HA nodes.

ENVIRONMENT:

    Cooling Unit installed element list: 1, 2, 3, 4; with error: 4
    Cooling Units by element:
      [1] 7550 RPM
      [2] 7420 RPM
      [3] 7520 RPM
      [4] 0 RPM

EMS:

[?] Thu Apr 02 07:08:45 JST [node02: dsa_worker3: ses.status.fanError:EMERGENCY]: DS224-12 (S/N SHFFGXXXXXXXXXX) shelf 0 on channel 0b cooling fan error for Cooling element 4: critical status; fan is off. This module is on the rear of the shelf on the lower right power supply.
[?] Thu Apr 02 07:08:45 JST [node02: dsa_worker3: callhome.shlf.fan:EMERGENCY]: Call home for SHELF COOLING UNIT FAILED

  • Replacing the power supply 2 of Shelf 0 including the faulty fan 4 doesn't resolve the issue.
