Issue

  • Call home for PSU degraded is seen:

HA Group Notification (CHASSIS POWER SUPPLY REMOVED: PS 1) ERROR

  • The following messages are seen in EMS:

Tue May 14 13:05:28 -0700 [scc57n13b: env_mgr: monitor.chassisPowerSupply.notPresent:notice]: Chassis power supply 1 is not present.
Tue May 14 13:05:57 -0700 [scc57n13b: env_mgr: callhome.chassis.ps.rm:error]: Call home for CHASSIS POWER SUPPLY REMOVED: PS 1

  • Partner node reports no power issues.
  • Health alert for missing FRU is present on the cluster:

                    Node: Node_1
           Alert ID: CriticalFruNotPresentAlert
           Resource: PSU1#XXXXXXXXXXX
           Severity: Critical
    Indication Time: Thu Apr 25 02:41:17 2024
           Suppress: false
        Acknowledge: false
     Probable Cause: PSU1 is not present in the chassis XXXXXXXXXX. The nodes in this chassis are Node_1 and Node_2.    
     Possible Effect: The nodes in the chassis might not function effectively or redundancy might be lost.
     Corrective Actions: 1. Plug in PSU1 correctly into the slot.
                         2. Refer to the Hardware specification guide for more information on the position of the field-replaceable unit (FRU) and ways to check or replace it.
                         3. Contact support personnel if the alert persists.PSU has already been replaced, and issue persists.
