CONTAP-343454: Failure to reserve partner disks during unplanned takeover can cause controller disrupiton

Issue

Under certain circumstances, after an unplanned takeover, the takeover node fails to reserve the partner disks. Subsequent IOs on the disks that encountered reservation failure will lead taking over node to encounter panic as below:
Disk error 27 (disk reservation conflict). in SK process label_thread on release 9.14.1P7 (C)
This results in a downtime for the HA-pair.
