CFBMC-4050: Daily ses.status.temperatureWarning:alert received against both nodes on FAS2820 HA Pair

Issue

  • System is sending daily errors as follows:


     Wed Mar 20 01:03:49 +0100 [node_name: dsa_worker3: ses.status.temperatureWarning:alert]: DS212-12 (S/N SHJHU0123456789) shelf 0 on channel 0b temperature warning for Temperature sensor 14: not installed or failed. Current temperature:  C ( F). This module is on the rear of the shelf at the top right, on shelf module B.

Current temperature:  C ( F). This module is on the rear of the shelf at the top left, on shelf module A.


  • These errors have been identified since the installation.
  • They seem to occur around 1:00 AM every day.
  • There have been no onsite environmental changes reported.
  • Both nodes have been reseated as these are IOM12E modules, but this has not made any changes.
  • As of now there does not seem to be any ongoing issues with the storage, cause of error is to be confirmed.
