What is Cisco Smart Call Home feature?
  • Cisco Smart Call Home can be enabled on Cisco cluster switches to automatically create cases with Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) for critical events
  • The specific events that create Cisco TAC cases can be found in the Smart Call Home Monitoring Details for each switch model
What steps must be taken to ensure a successful deployment?
  1. Validate that the Smart Call Home feature is available for your device(s)
  2. Ensure the device is covered by an active and valid service contract
  3. Ensure the person who will register Smart Call Home device(s) has a Cisco.com account and is logged in
  4. Validate that the contract covering the device is associated with the Cisco.com account of the person who is registering the devices with Smart Call Home
