Validate

Verify MAJOR-EVENT-LOG (Support > Event log in SANtricity System Manager) if the following error is reported:

Example:

Event type: 200A
Event category: Error
Priority: Critical
Description: Data/parity mismatch on volume
Event specific codes: 0/0/0
Component type: Volume
Component location: Volume <VOLUME>

Resolution

  1. Identify the volume that is affected (see example in Validate section)
  2. Download the SMCLI software: How to run CLI scripts and commands for systems running 11.60 and 11.70 firmware

Note: For versions pre 11.60, SANtricity Storage Manager needs to be installed which has the script editor functionality

  1. Follow the steps described in the following articles as applicable to repair the data/parity mismatch:
