Issue

  • Error received when modifying (delete, unmap, etc.) a standard volume.

The operation cannot complete because the volume has a persistent reservation

  • The SANtricity GUI returns : 

"Error 18 - The operation cannot complete because of an internal target error".'"Error 219 - The operation cannot complete because the volume has a persistent reservation placed on it. Please release the reservation at the host and then retry the operation"

  • The SANtricity SMcli returns:

"Unable to delete volume '<volume_name>' using the DeleteVolume command at line 1. Error 18 - The operation cannot complete because of an internal target error. "

  • The controller shell using ' deleteVolume_MT ' command returns:

-> deleteVolume_MT 4
ReturnCode: 0x12 = RETCODE_INTERNAL_ERROR
value = 18 = 0x12
