Event Summary

  • SANtricity reports a battery missing event:

REMOVED_BATTERY-Recovery Failure Type Code: 67

  • For dual controller systems, it may also report:

WB_CACHING_FORCIBLY_DISABLED-Recovery Failure Type Code: 378

Validate

Confirm from SANtricity Storage Manager or System Manager if the controller shows an issue on the Hardware page.

Resolution

  1. Confirm the status of the battery and determine if there are not any maintenance activities ongoing.
  2. Re-seat the battery backup unit for 2 minutes
  3. If re-seat doesn't resolve the issue contact NetApp Technical Support and reference this article for further assistance.
