Description

This knowledgebase (KB) article provides a quick summary of how to replace the compute node using the NetApp Hybrid Cloud Control (HCC) web interface.

For a full version that provides additional details such as when configuring the network when using the Element Plug-in for vCenter v5.0 or later or on how to change the password if you received a replacement node with a non-standard BMC password, visit the following links below:

  • Note: Element software v12.7 / HCI 1.11 running on storage nodes are not compatible with compute nodes running HCI software v1.10
  • Note: If running Element software v12.7, the compute node should be on HCI software v1.10 first before applying the upgrade package for HCI software v1.11
