Issue

  • Joining a new node to an existing cluster fails with the following:
Joining cluster ..............Error: Cluster applications failed to initialize due to internal communication problems. Run the setup wizard again to resolve the problem. Contact support personnel if the problem persists.
  • System Manager shows the following alert:
Probable Cause: MTU value "4294967295" on port "e0a" of node
"NODE12" is improperly set. It should be 9000.
Possible Effect: Received Ethernet packets that are larger than the
configured MTU are dropped, causing data transfer issues.
Corrective Actions: modify the MTU using the command "network port
broadcast-domain modify -ipspace Cluster -broadcast-domain Cluster -mtu
".
To find out the broadcast domain name of the port, execute the command
"network port broadcast-domain show".
