AFF C190

Description

  • By default, capacity-optimized platforms such as the AFF C190 do not require retaining a spare data partition per node
  • The aggregate creation operation will automatically utilize all available data partitions, regardless of attached drive quantity
  • It allows for more usable storage without sacrificing performance or platform stability
  • To convert the AFF C190 to utilize a hot spare policy instead of the default zero spares policy, an ONTAP option must be changed
