Issue

  • The following errors are reported in the event logs:
[Node-01: vifmgr: vifmgr.bcastDomainPartition:error]: Broadcast domain Domain_1 is partitioned into 2 groups on node Node-01. The different groups are: {e1a, e1b}, {e0g}. LIFs hosted on the ports in this broadcast domain may be at the risk of seeing connectivity issues.
[Node-01: vifmgr: vifmgr.reach.ok:notice]: Network port e0g on node Node-01 can reach its expected broadcast domain Default:Domain_1. No other broadcast domains appear to be reachable from this port.
[Node-01: vifmgr: vifmgr.reach.multireach:error]: Network port e0g on node Node-01 can reach the following broadcast domains: Default:Domain_1,Default:mgmt_domain.
  • The affected port has multi-domain reachability:

Cluster::*> network port reachability show -instance

                       Node: Node-01
                       Port: e0g
  Expected Broadcast Domain: Default:Default
Reachable Broadcast Domains: Default:Domain_1, Default:mgmt_domain
        Reachability Status: multi-domain-reachability
          Unreachable Ports: -
           Unexpected Ports: Node-01:e0M, Node-02:e0M

  • The link on the affected port is found to be flapping:

[Node-01: mgmt_port_link_status_poll: netif.linkDown:info]: Ethernet e0g: Link down, check cable.
[Node-01: mgmt_port_link_status_poll: netif.linkUp:info]: Ethernet e0g: Link up.
[Node-01: vifmgr: vifmgr.portup:notice]: A link up event was received on node Node-01, port e0g.
[Node-01: mgmt_port_link_status_poll: netif.linkDown:info]: Ethernet e0g: Link down, check cable.
[Node-01: mgmt_port_link_status_poll: netif.linkUp:info]: Ethernet e0g: Link up.
