"statistics qtree show" failing with error on the flexgroup volume

Last Updated:

Applies to

  • ONTAP 9
  • Flexgroup

  • When running the command "Statistics qtree show" on a flexgroup volume that consists of large number of constituents and qtrees, fails with the below error

::> Statistics qtree show -interval 5 -iterations 1 -max 25 -volume data -qtree * -vserver svm -sort-key total_ops

Error: command failed:
Aggregated instances requested for the qtree object exceeds the data capacity of the performance subsystem, because it includes 127090 constituent instances. With the current counter set, use the -node, -vserver, or -filter flags to include at most 46979 constituent instances in order to stay within the data capacity. Alternatively, requesting fewer counters will also reduce the required data and may allow more instances to be requested.
