Element authentication warning after installing a customer SSL certificate

Applies to

  • NetApp SF-Series or H-Series 12 or more node cluster
  • NetApp Element software 12.3.0.958+

Issue

After installing a custom SSL certificate on the storage cluster:

  • some nodes report authenticationServiceFault warnings with message Element Auth container has been not ready for too long on node <#>. Please contact support if this problem persists
  • The node UI is unavailable
  • Element software upgrade cannot be performed
