Issue

An Element storage node reported irqBalancefailed alert as below

  • irqBalanceFailed -Failed to balance interrupts. Performance may be degraded. Error(s): Failed to stop daemon={irqbalance status=Disabled} ex=xCheckFailure at std::__cxx11::string solidfire::Daemon::RunServiceCommand(solidfire::DaemonAction) const (shared/Daemon.cpp:281): daemon command failed daemon={irqbalance status=Disabled} ex=xSubProcessWriteFailed at void solidfire::SubProcess::Write(const string&) (shared/SubProcess.cpp:380): Assertion Failed: [written] at: shared/SubProcess.cpp:380 void solidfire::SubProcess::Write(const string&)

The node also reported sensorReadingFailed alerts

  • sensorReadingFailed -IPMI diagnostics are currently unresponsive. Please contact support if this problem persists.
  • sensorReadingFailed -BMC Self Test failed. This may impact IPMI based services and a BIOS/BMC update may be recommended

Support Bundle collection failed with error:

  • Unable to generate Solidfire storage node support logs on xxx.xxx.xx.xx: ApiServerError(method_name="CreateSupportBundle", err_json={"error": {"code": 500, "message": "Assertion Failed: [written] at: shared/SubProcess.cpp:380 void solidfire::SubProcess::Write(const string&)", "name": "xSubProcessWriteFailed"}, "id": 5})
