Description

  • A warning message appears when a node's root volume has become full or almost full
  • The node cannot operate properly when its root volume is full
  • Note: When a node's root volume reaches 100% full, the system will panic, frequently requiring root volume recovery. Example:

PANIC: Process vifmgr unresponsive for 180 seconds in process nodewatchdog on release 9.7P6 (C) on Sat Nov 23 09:42:39 UTC 2024

  • The error may also be seen when accessing the node's Service Processor:

CRITICAL. This node is not healthy because the root volume is low on space (<10MB). The node can still serve data, but it cannot participate in cluster operations until this situation is rectified. Free space using the nodeshell or contact technical support for assistance.
