Volume is showing performance-tier-inactive-user-data though IDR is disabled

  • Inactive Data Reporting (IDR)
  • Automatic Inactive Data Reporting (Auto IDR)

Issue

  1. The following command shows inactive data reporting(IDR) capability is disabled on the aggregate: 

Example:

::> storage aggr show -fields is-inactive-data-reporting-enabled
aggregate is-inactive-data-reporting-enabled
-------------------- ----------------------------------
aggr0_1a  false
aggr0_1b  false
aggr1     false
3 entries were displayed.
 
  1. However, the volume on this aggregate is showing the amount of inactive data from the output of the following command:

Example:

::> volume show -vserver svm1 -volume vol1 -fields performance-tier-inactive-user-data,performance-tier-inactive-user-data-percent
vserver volume performance-tier-inactive-user-data performance-tier-inactive-user-data-percent
