SFP power low due to faulty SFP

Issue

  • Receiver signal average optical power is low by switch command below:

switch> show interfaces descriptions | match xe-0/0/2
xe-0/0/2        up    up   switch_e0e

switch> show interfaces diagnostics optics xe-0/0/2 | match dbm
    Laser output power                        :  0.5720 mW / -2.43 dBm
    Receiver signal average optical power     :  0.0246 mW / -16.09 dBm

  • SYSCONFIG -A report relative network port down:

e0e MAC Address: d2:39:ea:b1:b5:3e (auto-unknown-fd-down)

  • The following messages can be observed on the system:

[node01: intr: netif.linkDown:info]: Ethernet e0e: Link down, check cable.
[node01: vifmgr: vifmgr.portdown:notice]: A link down event was received on node node01, port e0e.
