Node stuck at LOADER prompt after shutdown

  • Baseboard Management Controller (BMC)

Issue

  • After a planned shutdown (e.g., for power maintenance), one or more nodes in a FAS2720 cluster are found to be inaccessible via the cluster management IP. 
  • Upon connecting to the BMC, the node console displayed the LOADER prompt (e.g., LOADER-A> or LOADER-B>), indicating the system isn't running ONTAP.
