Node Shutdown Due to “Battery Current Critical” – Emergency Shutdown

Issue

  • A FAS8300 node unexpectedly shut down with the following error observed in the system log:

May 13 00:52:50 clustername [nodename-02:monitor.shutdown.emergency:EMERGENCY]: Emergency shutdown: Environmental Reason Shutdown (Battery current critical)Additional observations:

  • The system battery was reported as “Ready” with 100% relative charge, but the absolute charge was lower (e.g., 74%).
    The last battery learning cycle took an abnormally long time (from 04/29 to 05/12).
