Answer

  • This platform has 4 x Power Supply (PSU)s per system.
    • PSUs are plugged directly into the Processor Controller Module (PCM) (2 per canister).
    • PSUs power the midplane and if a failure occurs, will also power the partner PCM.
  • 2+2 configuration
    • Require power to at least 2 PSUs at all times for proper system operation.
    • The Platforms will remain operational with up to 2 PSU failures.
      • More than 2 will initiate a Takeover to the Partner or will shutdown on a Single node cluster.
    • Power from each PSU is delivered throughout the system (midplane, fans, partner PCM, local PCM).
