Description

The NetApp Support Site: Self-Support allows customers to set their preference for disk drive deliveries. Because drives are a noncritical part, all system serial numbers and future shipments have the default set to Next Business Day (NBD) delivery, regardless of the target response of the service contract.

  • This preference was created to allow customers to reduce their operational costs by simplifying management of drive replacements that might occur during multiple times on any given day.
  • This preference will not affect other parts and can be changed during the incident at the customer’s request or if deemed necessary by the support team.
  • The default preference can be changed just as any other preference for critical systems for which failure is a concern.
