Issue

  • The following alert is reported in the event logs:
[Node-01: cshmd: hm.alert.raised:alert]: Alert Id = SwitchLinkDiscoveryProtocol_Alert , Alerting Resource = Switch-01 raised by monitor ethernet-switch
  • The health monitor shows the following details:

Subsystem Switch-Health
Indication Time Thu Apr 13 10:37:49 2023
Perceived Severity Minor
Probable Cause Configuration_error
Description The ethernet switch is using an unsupported link discovery protocol.
Corrective Actions Revert the discovery protocol change on the switch.
Possible Effect The change of the link discovery protocol on the switch is not supported. The connected device will not appear in link layer discovery commands.
