Flash Cache NVMe firmware upgrade fails with error 'nvme.fw.program.failed'

Issue

  • Unable to upgrade firmware version from NA00 or NA01 to NA03.
  • EMS reports the following error.

[XXXX: fc_fw_check: nvme.fw.program.failed:error]: NVMe caching module in slot 4 with serial number XXXX, and model number X3311A failed to download firmware version vendor specific to the drive with error code 0xe00002200209.

  • Affected Flash Cache NVMe Model Name can be confirmed via 'sysconfig -a'.
