Disk assign failure due to single-path or path in same fault domain

Issue

  • Manual assignment of unassigned disk fails with the below message
 
NetApp-Cluster::*> storage disk assign -disk 1.1.2 -owner NetApp-01
 
Error: command failed: Failed to assign disks. Reason: Disk 1.1.2 is not assigned because it either has less than two paths or all its paths are connected to the same fault domain. Correct the configuration error or specify the -force option. For more details, use the "storage errors show" command.
