Disk LED not lit without any error

Issue

  • The disk is detected normally by ONTAP and the status is normal from sysconfig -a, but both the green and amber LEDs are off.
  • The LED remains off even after replacing the disk.
  • Swapping the disk which has no LED with another spare disk on the same shelf which has the LED lit. The affected disk green LED coming up after moving to a different slot, and the LED of the other spare disk going off after inserting it in the affected slot.
