Controller unable to auto-assign a newly added disk

Issue

Disk was not auto-assigned and failed to be assigned an owner.
 
  1. Unable to assign using system manager
                Error: Node is not in the list of controllers for disk "1.0.13.
  1. Disk added using CLI but shows as state unknown
  2. Unable to remove ownership from drive from cluster or node shell
  3. Node1b was not the owner, Node1a (owning node) could not see the disk
  4. Toggled auto-assign off and on.

    Still unable to assign disk
