AFF-A250/FAS500f BIOS firmware update to 17.9 or 17.10 causes node to power down

Issue

  • As part of an ONTAP upgrade that bundles BIOS 17.9 or17.10 firmware, an AFF A250 or FAS500F node might power down after the BIOS update occurs.
  • Attempts to power-cycle the controller from its BMC have no effect.
