AFF-A400 SAS Card Failure After Node Reboot Causes Single-Path

Issue

  • After performing a maintenance reboot on node  the following alerts appeared:

[node01: dsa_disc: ses.multipath.ReqError:alert]: SAS disk shelf detected without a multipath configuration.
[node01: dsa_disc: shelf.config.spha:info]: System is using single path HA attached storage only.

  • SYSCONFIG -A missing slot 5 SAS card.
  • Before node reboot SAS card reports pcie error:

[node01: PCI Link: pcie.stealth.link.errors:debug]: params: {'pcie_link_errors': 'performance is not optimal for PCI Device 1000:d1 in slot 5 on Controller. Dv[00d1](27,0,0) in slot 5: LinkCap(MaxLkSp(3),MaxLkWd(16),ASPM(3),L0(6),L1(2),SurpDn,DLAct,Port(12)), LinkCap(MaxLkSp(3),MaxLkWd(16),ASPM(3),L0(7),L1(6),Port(0)), LinkStatus(LkSp(1),LkWd(8),DLAct). '}
