AFF-A400 Node Down and SAN Service Disruption After Motherboard Replacement
Applies to
- AFF-A400
- ONTAP 9.7P6
Issue
After Node1 went down, an attempt to recover it with an unknown-source spare motherboard caused the entire FCP service to go down.
- Node Node1 remained offline.
- All LUNs were lost from SAN hosts, even though FC LIFs were configured on the partner node Node2.
- The FCP service was unavailable, and the cluster was unable to establish FCP connections with clients or the SAN switch.
