Issue

  • BMC firmware upgrade when attempted from BMC, repeatedly fails with error:

BMC Node-B> bmc update http://<HTTP_Server_path>/BMC/SP_FW.tar.gz
Downloading package...
Uncompressing package...(md5sum=bfc9XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX5c52)
Unarchiving package...
FW package untar failed.....FAILED

ERROR : BMC FW Update Unsuccessful.

  • Upgrade from ONTAP side do not exceed beyond a level:

  • BMC wipeclean does not resolve the issue.
  • BMC frequently reports, filesystem errors:
