Description

The following procedure will completely wipe out all the configuration and logs of the SP / BMC

  • If currently connected through the SP/BMC IP address, connectivity will be lost after completing these steps
  • If cluster management or node management are reachable the IP address for the SP/BMC can be setup following the steps; otherwise, it is suggested to login via a local console cable

Note: Make sure to review How to decommission or repurpose an HA Pair with ONTAP 9

  • If node and cluster initialization is not performed before, the SP/BMC configuration will be temporarily removed. The config will re-sync with ONTAP.
