Issue

The NA53 drive firmware release for the *TCM5V model drives includes the following
improvements:
  • General enhancements to improve reliability
    • A fix for this issue: High I/O workload to the same logical block address (LBA) range causes depletion of free NAND blocks in a single bank of memory and as a result triggers the emergency garbage collection (GC) to create free blocks leading to command timeouts.
The following table lists the part number and identification of each affected drive: ONTAP Part Number Model ID Capacity Update Firmware To ----------- ---------------- -------- ------------------- X4010 X4010TCM5V1T9NTE 1.9TB NA53 X4011 X4011TCM5V3T8NTE 3.8TB NA53 X4013 X4013TCM5V7T6NTE 7.6TB NA53 X4014 X4014TCM5V15TNTE 15 TB NA53
