CHW-2690: Chassis temperature is too cool: Inlet ODP Temp2 is warning low (3 C)

Issue

  • On AFF A90 and AFF A70 systems, intermittent low temperature alerts are logged with temperature values of 0 C, 1 C, 2 C or 3 C. The alerts clear a minute later.
  • An example of self-correcting events seen in the EMS log:
    Tue Sep 10 06:17:00 +0100 [node-1: monitor: monitor.globalStatus.critical:EMERGENCY]: Chassis temperature is too low..
    Tue Sep 10 06:17:00 +0100 [node-1: env_mgr: monitor.chassisTemperature.cool:alert]: Chassis temperature is too cool: Inlet ODP Temp2 is warning low (3 C).
    Tue Sep 10 06:17:31 +0100 [node-1: env_mgr: monitor.chassisTemperature.ok:notice]: Chassis temperature is ok.
    Tue Sep 10 06:18:00 +0100 [node-1: monitor: monitor.globalStatus.ok:notice]: The system's global status is normal.

  • An example of self-correcting events seen in the BMC system event log (SEL):
